Brakes India Signs Strategic Alliance with TBK Through 10 Per Cent Stake Acquisition

Brakes India has entered into a strategic capital and business alliance with TBK Co., Ltd., marking a significant milestone in its global expansion plans.

As part of the agreement, Brakes India, a TSF Group company, will acquire a 10% shareholding in TBK through a primary capital infusion, strengthening collaboration between the two automotive component manufacturers.

Brakes India-TBK alliance to expand global footprint

The partnership enables Brakes India and TBK to combine their technological strengths and market presence to enhance commercial vehicle braking solutions.

TBK, a leading global player in the medium and heavy commercial vehicle (M&HCV) segment, specialises in brakes, pumps, and engine-related components.

The alliance provides both companies access to complementary markets, new customer segments, and diversified supply chain opportunities.

With this agreement, Brakes India’s hydraulic and pneumatic braking products will gain entry into new export markets, while TBK’s complementary product portfolio will be introduced to the Indian domestic market.

Kaoru Ogata, President & CEO of TBK, stated that the companies will leverage each other’s technological capabilities and customer bases to jointly develop high value-added products tailored for their respective markets. He emphasised that the alliance will support advancements in next-generation mobility.

Sriram Viji, Managing Director of Brakes India, noted that this partnership marks the beginning of a long-term association and reinforces the company’s strategic growth vision.

He added that the agreement will provide the company access to TBK’s product range for the Indian market, while also expanding the reach of Brakes India’s pneumatic braking products to global customers.
